Hi all, just arrived and parked meself in a corner Here's the thing, i backed into a bollard a while back. After that the battery kept going flat, so I disconnected stuff that I thought related to the back door light. Since then I've had no map or front cabin lights and I can't see any bust or missing fuses (on a 2.4 they're a bugger to get at, under the dash).
So, have I done something that I'd forgotten, or is there any way I can run a check. I'm not electrically sub-normal but this one has me stumped
Cheers all, Col.

Not aware of anything at the back. The rear cabin doesn't connect to the front cabin lights. Just the centre and footwell ones, are these working? Its not as bad as it looks to get to the fuses... if i were you i'd reconnect and see if that brings em back....
Doesn't sound connected tho !

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, I fell asleep there for a while, sorry. The footwell lights work, as do the centre and rear cabin lights. It's just the overhead lights in the driver cabin that don't work. It has me well mystified as I've checked all the fuses I can find and they are all ok!

I had this problem...for me the cure was cleaning up the contacts (both ends) on the overhead light......multimeter showed volts were coming up the wire but not getting to the bulbs........

could be the switch. There is a switch in the centre that either puts them on door or off, have you checked this is switched to on? If so, it may be broken at the back.

Yes..the contacts can look ok...but where the wires connect I opened up male bits and closed up female bits to get working...maybe some subtle oxidizing going on. A cheap multimeter will tell the full story
