Interior lights Empty
PostSubject: Interior lights    Interior lights Icon_minitimeWed Sep 28, 2016 9:02 pm

Hey there

I am having some trouble with getting the interior lights in my hiace working

It's a hi roof 1991 petrol dx hiace,it has a wheel chair lift in the back (don't know if that makes any difference)

The interior dome lights have never worked and also the light above the rear view mirror - there is a switch up front and a switch near the rear hatch

I have checked all the fuses and looked at the bulbs, looks like the previous owner installed led bulbs

Is there anything else I should be looking at? It also has a alarm installed that has never worked also

Thanks for your help

I would suggest to measure power at different stages. So measure that there is 12v running over the fuse. Next step is to take out the dome light including switch, and see if the whole thing is getting 12v power or not. If it does, check if the light itself is getting 12v power when the switch is set to manually on.

Some early LED bulbs worked fine at 12V but not at 14.4V.
Try fitting a known good bulb in there and see if it works.

Next look is to the fuse box.
