I have a 1994 Toyota hiace super custom with 3.0 turbo diesel. Recently, it has dying on me. It starts up, but then dies. My thought is it could be the fuel filter, but I am not sure. Has anyone had the same issue?

Hi all. Having an issue with my auto gearbox.

The van is taking ages to shift between 2nd and 3rd gears. In some cases (on the flat), I can get to nearly 70kph before the box shifts up.

I can prompt it to change (when I think it should change) by easing the gas pedal.

No issues between any of the other gears, going in/out of overdrive, or dropping down into 2nd from 3rd.

Removing the engine.

I’ve taken the decision to remove the 3L engine from my van as part of its refurb. There are a number of jobs that will be a lot easier to do with the engine out of the van and I will also be replacing the engine mounts as well. I don’t need to remove the engine completely to swap out the mounts but it will be easier.

Most of the warning lights are coming on intermittently when driving including the buzzer
Over next few days they were on all the time
This didn’t affect the drive other than being distracting
I’ve taken alternator off and this tested ok today
Any suggestions please?
