96 SC HEATER CONTROL LIGHTS.

G'DAY.
I noticed i have no lights at night to illuminate the heater controls on the 1996 SC. Rear window heater has a light when pressed.
Does the hot/cold heater actually have bulbs/fuse?

If it's the older control with sliders'n'stuff if should have back illumination.
If it's got an AC button on the bottom right that should also illuminate with the lights on.

Yeah it's the older type slider type. No ilumination though. Looks like the dash has to come out again. 😣

The radio has to come out too IIRC as the bits you need are underneath the control (above the radio) and it's held back by all the cables those sliders operate, so allow a bit of time for the job.

I'm guessing there's a way to unhook the cables to get the unit out,

Is there quick access to the bulbs/ globes behind the controls?

No idea, sorry. It is open at the bottom though so maybe just the radio needs to come out and a mirror may reveal all, would be very useful.
