| Anyone know where I can get a hiace sump for a 1KZ-TE.
Plug hole is stripped out and its already been re-threaded... ahh the joys of buying secondhand... is it so hard to use a f(*@( crush washer?
Please contact me if you know where one can be had...

| I don't think he's breaking it any more... he hasn't replied to any of the posts? If he is im driving strait over there!
Managed to get the sump plug back in but with the service interval of these things it really going to need replacing.

| Any chance of re-tapping & putting a slightly bigger plug in? Or a helicoil insert? | |

It's been rethreaded once already by the look... its a press in fitting into the steel sump so if you rethread it too far it will fall to bits. Managed to get it in and torqued up and not leaking but it will just get worse every time it needs the oil changed.

| i suppose you could take it to a descent fabricator who could drill out you old one and weld in a new piece of small tube that could be rethreaded to fit the existing plug. | |

| Use a Helicoil and change the washer each time. | |
