| Subject: Front disc brake adjustment? Sat Nov 16, 2013 9:42 am | |
| I get an intermittent squeak from the front drivers side. It varies according to speed and disappears when lightly touching the breaks. I pulled off the tire and jacked it up. No play in the axle, when turning the hub the brake sticks part way around then turns freely. I'm pretty sure this causes the sound. Looks like roughly a 5/8 adjustment bolt on the brake housing facing the inside. Is this to adjust clearance on the brake pad or else something like a bleeder valve? Could it be a warped rotor? | |

| Warped rotor I'd say, but is the pads are not moving away enough the two could combine to create your problem. Try removing the pads and checking all the spring fittings are ok, clean and replace. | |
