| Some filthy chav scum* tried to bust the lock on our van last night so now we have a knackered driver lock.
Good first port of call anyone? Are lock's easy to fit/come by? What are people's experience of Toyota main dealers like for their old hiaces? Do they give a monkeys or just charge loads and do a bad job.
Blathering by now I think so I'll sign off and hope for words of solace/wisdom

| Spare locks were £130 for a set from Toyota. Allow upto 3 weeks for these ‘as its an import’. Turned out to be a week in the end.
Anyone know how to fit them?
Edit: Whole I was picking up the parts the guy showed me their parts website. I wish we could access one of those! Would make life a lot simpler!

| Oh I use this but it doesn;t have a funky interactive exploded diagram. You have to know what the thing is called and then look. And that isn't always obvious | |

| The diagrams were blocked for the UK, don't know why, in an agreement to continue to use them for the rest of the World.
Diagrams on DVD sometimes available on ebay called Toyota EPC - Electronic Parts Catalogue. | |

| I'm having an issue with my power locks on 92 hiace SC. Power locking works fine with the key in the drivers door, but when I try the locking switch on the inside of the door, I can get that to work correctly, I get it to lock the drivers door only, but not trigger the power locks. I pulled the door panel off and it looks like someone disconnected it. Does anyone have video or photos of how this is supposed to look and work? Or maybe a reference to the correct part. I can move the rod arm into and out of lock position, but it does not trigger the power lock mechanism to unlock the rest of the doors. So, I assume something is wrong with the electric mechanism. | |

| Your pic is a bit big for the forum layout so apologies if this post goes a bit wrong as I have to scroll quite a bit to find the buttons LOL. Here is the Hiace central locking which I guess stayed fairly similar over time: The central locking relay on my RHD 2WD Hiace is just behind the steel tube running behind the glovebox. Hope the diagram helps. Colour codes, B = black, L = Blue, first letter is the major colour, 2nd is the stripe. | |
