| Hi ROGERBRAY... Firstly, does the key turn in the lock correctly? And does the central locking actuator in the rear door seem to be working? If so it could be something as simple as a detatched linkage. The fact that you can operate it by pulling/pushing the link rod shows that the lock box itself is ok. If you can't work it out. p.m. me and arrange to pop over to Bishop's Stortford and I could have a look at it for you.. I am a locksmith............. | |

| Anyone know any good bodyshops in the Sussex area (Brighton, Gatwick, Horsham, Worthing, Carawley etc)? Got some surfaace rust around windows and on tailgate I need sorting.
Also, got a faulty cigarette lighter on the dash and a faulty headlight bulb. Any ideas on removing the dash (i.e screw positions...is it clipped in place) to get to lighter and what needs removing at the front of the vehicle to get access to the headlight bulb?

| Yeah there are a couple of hiden screws in the centre air vents. A long magnetic screwdiver is useful. I took the cowels off of the steering column to give more room to move the dash. Hang on.. My cig lighter is below the radio. Is yours somewhere else ? | |

| Hay i modified my rear door latch/lock a while ago so i can open it from the inside, very handy sometimes - especially while camping.
Not too much work involved, you just need some thick coat hanger wire and a drill. Under the door trim behind the door lock there is already a lug for such operation, some SC must have this as standard? Any way i can post some pics of my set up one day if any interested?

| I was wondering if that was possible myself but don't really have the need for it since my bed set up is going towards the front and my back seat blocks the rear door. But still... Pics are always good | |

| Hi , common problem with all Hiace vans the tailgate handle is made of plastic and they break, first thing I did when i got my van was to grease the lug on the handle that pushes on the lock. Easy fix just take of trim and 2 nuts and the handle pulls out , go to toyota and buy a new one Lautghing !!! | |
