radiator

Hi..
I also have Japan 2l Toyota Super custom here in the Philippines and I'm amaze that it has 2 radiators... My mechanic told me to remove the radiator and the fan at the bottom of the engine, he told me that it is only for the heater. It is ok? Why Does it has 2 radiators? Can someone tell me what's the function of the radiator at the bottom?

Hi Rhenlb, I would love to know too but no-one seems to know!!

My van (1991, 2.8L series engine) only has one radiator but I have read somewhere on this forum that the later diesel engines have 2. As far as I remember these are both for engine cooling and given that these engines all have the potential for overheating, I would certainly not remove a radiator.

A relatively old post by the OP now I know but yes don't do anything that can reduce the already poor cooling; a cracked head awaits you if you do!
