slipping auto box

i have what i think is a problem with my torque convertor (so Mr mechanic says)

It is almost like the clutch is slipping , especially noticeable from stopped..

Anyone give me advice on this one ??

Torque convertor......slipping bands due to pulling big caravans?
I'd take it to you local auto box specialist for a informed opinion
What colour is your atf...levels ok?...does it smell burnt?

Towing 40' vans might be a bit much like Chris says as for advice I go to automatic gbox mob but having said that if the filter was blocked I wonder if that would give you your symptoms.

I have mine serviced every year or so

I took my filter out to clean out some years ago...the holes are that big that it would not get blocked except in a major shredding event in the box...the box would be rendered knackered already, but it would stop large bits of metal or fibre circulating.
The holes are too big to filter fibre dust...this just sits/sticks in the bottom of the atf sump.
It would be worth checking the fluid and also the coolant to make sure no cross contamination is going on when it goes through the main radiator for cooling
