My speedo is not working. Any advice. It shoots up when ignition switched and then fails.

| Sometimes 'dry joints' appear, I had this with my rev counter.
I suggest delicately taking it to bits, and breifly re-flowing the solder on each solder joint. | |

| Well the answer was a burnt Alternator giving an irregular current.
