wont start

Hi,

1991 hiace super custom ltd wagon here. New battery and all seemed to be working fine. parked it the other day and it just won't start. battery charge is good. all electrical seems to work, dash lights come on, headlights - seat moves forward with key in. turn key in ignition and nothing. dash lights go out, headlights don't dim one bit. no noise, no click, nothing. 0 crank.

i'm thinking either wiring, ECU, starter engine or starter(ignition) or engine ground.

does anyone have the ignition wiring diagrams handy for a 1991 RZH101G-MFPQE or know where the starter engine or engine ground are so I can pull out my multimeter and get started?

Well, the starter engine should be easy to find when you lay under the car.
The plus and ground cables are pretty thick so easy to spot. Cannot imagine that they are completely sisconnect but please check.

It is more likely that you have an issue with the solenoid on the starter engine. This one should open the gate for all yhe power going to the starter which is not happening at all, because your headlights dont dim.
So either the solenoid is broken or it is not getting any power from your key slot.
You uave a 2.4 liter engine? Then you can maybe just search for some 2RZ wiring diagram from a Hilux or something, necause this basic principle of starter will be the same.

The question is if your solenoid is suppose tp get 12v from key ignition or that it should be connected to ground.
Anyway I think it will be easy to measure if there is 12V coming to the solenoid when you turn the key. If that is the case, the solenoid is probably broken.
