| Good Day. I recently bought and adapted and installed a Landrover Defender RHD version snorkel kit to my Hiace. Not because I plan to cross deep rivers or lakes although you never know..... I wanted to move the source of intake air noise in the summer when the windows are down because I find it quite loud. Plus it looks cool....and now I don't have to worry when I wash my van that excess water will get into the intake.
The cost was quite reasonable, (90 British Pounds / $110 USD / $150 CAD) to my door in Vancouver, Canada. Bought it from Ebay.uk The kit is high quality and complete. Made mostly of aluminum tubing and plate with powder coated steel mounting hardware. I made a 1/2" thick polypropylene spacer / adaptor plate and sealed everything up with gasket material. All in all I am pleased with the outcome.
Pictures attached, sorry for the massive amount of photos in the link....it was in one folder. Cheers, Roman

| Cool. A stock snorkel would interfere with the rack. I moved mine accordingly. | |

| I have the original snorkel. But it just adds noise instead of decreasing noise. I don't really see how yours could be more silent instead of more noisy. | |

| You are correct Hiace4WD, it is not any quieter. It is about the same level of sound. No worries though. Cheers, Roman | |
