Fuel Pump Leaking Empty
PostSubject: Fuel Pump Leaking   Fuel Pump Leaking Icon_minitimeWed Feb 13, 2008 10:32 am

Hi

My LH100 2.4 has for a long while leaking Fuel Pump
other sites I visited say it's due to low sulphur in fuel but the thing does not always leak but when it does it may be 1 day or even a month in a fix really don't want to spend a load of money to get pump fixed but do not want to get rid of S/C

Any one know of a cheap fix or pump

What is the serial number on the pump?-
I have a spare injection pump without the autowax advance/cold start device.
There should be a number plus bar code on the body.
If it is suitable you can have it but it may need setting up for your vehicle.

Hi John

Thanks alot
I'll take a look in morning and get back to you s/c been in garage today with a noise from front crank area thought it might be pulleys again
Garage says they think it's crankshaft worn keyway they think told me to get shot off really don't know what to do now looking around see what catches my eye but will miss the old s/c if it does go

If the keyway is worn, the pulley has not been torqued up to 165newtons as per maunual.
Sounds a quick answer without a full investigation from the garage.

can't say for sure as diesel all over the pump so diagnosis very difficult
it's doing about 120Kms to £20 of diesel at the moment when the leak is at it's best can get about 20 toa gallon
Getting really fed up of it at the moment what with fuel leak and that damned noise as well
