| To all my guys,
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I will think about your ideas. I have another concern. This is regarding the roof rack. I need your advice if it is ok for a super custom 3.0 d to have a roof rack? My van has a sun roof and moon roof, I saw one while I'm driving. What brand is best. But, I'm curious if it is possible because I don't usually see super custom van with roof rack. Regarding the mileage of my van, will there be a disadvantage? Somebody told me that my van will have a hard time while in motion and make my mileage will be damage. Just waiting for your response. Thanks.

| There is always a degree of restriction with any roof mounted item that's not aerodynamic, but we shouldn't be looking at masses of power/mpg problems (Unless you've got ya house up there ). Was having a chat recently with a surfer friend whom has just bought a colapsable tent which mounts on the roof of most vehicles, looks like a roof box when folded down (his is on a VW T4 works van) and tells me that he feels it a bit when the find is up, but other than that not a problem. If ya having trouble finding a good sturdy set, try www.vanbitz.co.uk whom specialise in commercial racks, but don't look too bulky. | |

| Expect decreased fuel economy over 80km/h. The more aerodynamic the rack is the less the affect will be but there is still some effect. A rack that removes easily is a good idea.
Difficult handling in cross winds is also a concern.
What is it that you are transporting that will not fit inside?

| I'm using my van sometimes for delivery of bags of shirts and my back seat was converted to a foldable side seater so that i can put 10 rolls of fabrics. Is it possibble to put a roof rack and put additional baggage for city driving delivery? I use it for a double purpose, if ever we will have a family outing with 12 seating capacity and with roof rack putting also additional baggage, is it a big effect with the mileage? | |

| Fuel milage w/ a roof rack really depends on how fast you drive. At 110km/h expect to use about 10% more fuel. | |

regards Donald It really depends on the camper builder. But if you can measure the voltage over the two batteries, then you should both see them rising when the engine is running. If only the starter battery voltage is rising, then you know enough.

| Not sure where you are but the adventure kings roof racks from 4wd suapcentre ones fit.. you buy the stock roof rack and buy the extension brackets to get the extra height.. this is in Australia but. | |
