Breakdown insurance UK + Europe

Hi
Anyone got good advice for breakdown cover for a 1994 3.0 Super Custom camper? Most won't touch it being over 15 years old. I need UK plus minimum 28 days Europe cover annually.

The AA? If you take out a personal membership they'll cover you pretty much whatever you're in, even if you're a passenger in someone else's car.

They exclude vehicles more than10 years old from vehicle-based roadside-assistance-only policies but are generally reasonably flexible.

Britannia Rescue cover my vehicles.

Hi izzzzythedog, thanks for that...but I've just got it organised with Britannia - £94.50 online with no vehicle age limit and including 90 days European cover. The best I could find...not cheap but not so bad...

usually companies who wouldn't touch this with a barge pole will add breakdown cover if it's bought with insurance. so far this way i've had cover from both RAC and Green Flag buying insurance through Adrian Flux and Tesco and it's been really cheap too - about £30-£60 extra on the insurance so about half what the breakdown cover at that level costs separately.

normally both RAC and Green Flag have a 15-year age limit on breakdown cover so my van wouldn't be covered, but apparently this doesn't apply if it's bought via the insurance company.
