| Deep cycle batteries are typical for campers and marine applications. They don;t kick out the same high amps but they hold onto the juice they have longer.
Wire all your camping equipment, stereo, etc to the camping battery and put an isolator switch or relay on the + between your starting and camping battery.
This way: 1. you draw only from the camping battery when the van is off leaving the starting battery fully changed for when you want it. 2. when the vehicle is running, the camping battery charges. | |

| Have used Elecsol Leisure Batteries for ages, have 3x time discharge life, guaranty 50% capacity results and have a emergency dual use. Used 2x 125ah and have had terrific results, all camper lights/dvd/etc were off the leisures and used a battery to battery charger to fast boost from the alternator, a much better method of conventional split charging!!!!! | |
