The front passenger door has stopped being operated by the central locking from drivers door.

Has anyone else experienced this and have you fixed it?

Check the cables from door to body, if all ok stick your ear to the door card at the lock end and get someone to operate the switch. Noise = a jam or connecting rod problem, no noise lock motor action, both cases remove the door card and have a look.

I thought I had it fixed. I oiled it and it started working, but now its only working intermittently though there is power to the motor and the locking button does move a little. Either the motor has weakened with age or the joints in the mechanisms are worn or both.

It's something I can live with, just a small inconvenience really. If I find one breaking locally I may get the part.

Any measured their oil dipstick btw?

Hmmm, asking people you don't know to measure their 'dipstick' and post it on a public website?
My Mum warned me about websites like this! and please no 'dipstick' photos either! Smile
