| The front passenger door has stopped being operated by the central locking from drivers door.
Has anyone else experienced this and have you fixed it?

| Check the cables from door to body, if all ok stick your ear to the door card at the lock end and get someone to operate the switch. Noise = a jam or connecting rod problem, no noise lock motor action, both cases remove the door card and have a look. | |

| I thought I had it fixed. I oiled it and it started working, but now its only working intermittently though there is power to the motor and the locking button does move a little. Either the motor has weakened with age or the joints in the mechanisms are worn or both.
It's something I can live with, just a small inconvenience really. If I find one breaking locally I may get the part.
Any measured their oil dipstick btw?

| Hmmm, asking people you don't know to measure their 'dipstick' and post it on a public website? My Mum warned me about websites like this! and please no 'dipstick' photos either! | |
