door light on the dash and interier light flashes

Hello im new to this i have a beautiful toyota hiace super custom living saloon, the only main problem i have with her yes its a girl lol, is when driving along at 100ks, on the hwy etc the door lights on the dash start flashing like a door is open, and the inside door light start as well what could be causing this?
any help would be great

First check that the tailgate is fully closed, check that the front doors close in far enough and that the rear of the sliding door fits well. If any one of those looks not quite right (money on it being the tailgate) there is your problem.

Also look at the rubber boots covering the door light switches....
When the door closes it squashes these....(verify you have found it by watching the light go on and off as you push it)
Under the rubber is a simple make/break switch...boot peeled, WD 40 can wick inside and clean out the switch contact area

they only start to flash on and off when driving at 100 klms on a hwy dosnt do it any other time so i find it weird? i have checked all doors and rubbers etc nothing wrong there

Do the lights indicate which door or pair of doors are affected? My side sliding door was flickering as you describe. The problem seems to have been the large contact block in the door frame; the one with six contact pins. The block is cracked, which apparently is not uncommon. This prevented the block from sitting flush against the frame. After I removed the small cracked portion the problem stopped. The block is now only held in place by a single screw but seems quite happy with that.

A wrecker that I went to for a replacement said that they're almost impossible to come by. It was he that said the problem is common. A replacement from Toyota is over $200. I haven't got around to looking at ordering online from overseas.
