Hi guys & gals,
New to this forum but hoping someone might be able to help me out or point me in the right direction to someone who can.
I recently (last week) bought a 1994 YMS Hiace 2.8lt diesel, 4x4 camper. Love it, the bairn loves it and even the wife is coming around to the idea of it.
Problem is, I've absolutely no manuals for the van or the conversion. I'm particularly interested in the electrical system for the habitation side. There's a humungous air con unit (not working) under one of the rock and roll seats and a fuel (paraffin/ kerosene, not diesel) powered heater under the other seat, thats also not working. The fridge is tri powered (gas, electric, battery) which works ok on the battery, not sure about the gas or electric as I've not tried them out.
There's also a bundle of wires disconnected, that appear to lead towards the converter and heater.
So what i need is help from someone who has experience with these conversions and who could talk me through the electrical layout.
I'm in East London but would happily drive to any trusted, competent mechanic/ service place if thats what's required.
Thanks for listening, Pete
