At night get engine up to temp and then search round with a good torch. You may have a leak under pressure that evaporates and leaves no trace.
Also check pressure cap is ok, and that the pick up hose inside the expansion bottle does not collapse on itself.

Lastly and I hope not but you may have a cracked head, best way to check is start the engine and then quickly remove the pressure cap, If you have loads of bubbles then sadly that is a cracked head.

Where is the pressure cap?
Do you remove this while the engine is still running?
This might apply to me too
Thanks Marko

Pressure cap will be before the expansion bottle. It allows coolant out under pressure, and sucks it in again as pressure and engine temp drops.
Yes once started remove it, DO NOT start with it off as the water pump has an initial surge and you will lose have your coolant!

Another (odd) way of illustrating things is to put a dispoable rubber glove on the expansion tank overflow tube...use an elastic band to fix.
Then run as normal.
This will show if coolant is spitting out of there (head probs)
