| Ok, not sure this is the right place to post/ask.. But can you have a look at these 3 photos & tell me.
1) Any idea how I would pull out the radio/dvd player thing so I can install the fm expander. Would love to avoid paying to have it done if we can do it ourselves. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=486026669848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848#!/photo.php?fbid=486026424848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848&pid=6061374&id=609559848
2) Also WTF is this? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=486026669848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848#!/photo.php?fbid=486026569848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848&pid=6061376&id=609559848 Its been added & you put a battery in it but untill Iknow what its for I don't want too. If you follow the wire it attaches to this thing on the dash (sorry pic is through the windscreen) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=486026669848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848#!/photo.php?fbid=486027214848&set=a.486026364848.256567.609559848&pid=6061379&id=609559848
to me it looks like a dummy alarm or something?
Also, you can't see it in any of the photos but on the windscreen at the top on both the driver & passenger sides there is a sticker type thing that *looks* like a de-mister/de-froster or something. Its a rectangle that is about the size of the sun visor & there is a little thing attached to it that has wires that disappear in the roof panels. My best guess is it is some sort of heat thing to melt ice on the windscreen maybe? Any ideas? I'll take a pic if my description makes no scese.
OH OH AND There is a clean air thingy in the car, there is a on low & high switch next tot he rear AC & rear heat buttons on the front console & then the unit thing is behind the drivers seat (same spot as the battery behind the passenger seat) What exactly does this thing do? How & why do I use it?

| Hi Fiona, Did you ever get a reply as to how to remove the black part to get the radio/dvd thingy out? I have the same although the radio is a normal size rather than your double sized one and I can't think how to remove the black trim | |

| I did figure it out.
You have to remove a number of screws & then just gently work your way round to pop it off. I actually took photos as I did it, I will try & work out how to load them for you.

| Ok, You have a screw hidden up in the air con vent. If you tilt the middle vent( that is closest too the drivers side) all the way up, you will see it up in there. Next you have 2 screws on the top where your speedo etc is. (no photo, they are easy to find. Then you have another hidden where the fuel cap is released, its under the latch Last is under the steering wheel, on the left handside, I don't think its hidden so you should see it. the photo isn't that great at showing where. Once you have all 5 screws you just up to gently work your way around to unclip the black part of the dash from the main dash. Goodluck | |

| LOL, I forgot to add, you will need to also unclip the wires at the back of the black dash bit that connect to your buttons on the front ( hazard lights, curtains etc)
also, not only was it girls with tools but I was also 37 weeks pregnant at the time I believe. LOL
