On the up side I passed my CBT on Tuesday and motorcycle theory test this morning. So its not all bad.

Keep you updated and if you have useful tips for the head removal of a 2.4EFi turbo er... it will be most welcome. I am actually going to take it off myself and I have a mechanic friend (he was a Toyota main dealer mechanic in the 1990s) I shall see if he can reassemble the thing for me.

Sorry to hear this mate. Just one little tip when you get it all back together make sure you have all the heaters on when you fill the rad so you don't get any air bubbles in the system.

Made a start and my dad came round to help. I can see access to the bolts on the underside of the manifolds are going to be difficult to get at. Must be possible though.
