New cylinder head and a proper Toyota head gasket will be cheaper than a complete engine.

Ours cracked the head also. Mid Coast Engines at Kempsey fitted a brand new Chineese replacement head for just over $1600.

I had my head replaced with a NZ made head and toyota gaskets n bolts etc by Southport Radiators ..excellent job but quality ..cost around $3k cheers Terry

Its a cast steel head so just get it welded and machined....I had my head planed and valves done, and it cost me 200 US complete, then a gasket set. Did work myself
