| I used to like it before they banned tankers. The old cab over Mack and tri axle tanker used to fairly bellow through there at 2 in the AM, could probably hear it at Blacktown | |

| Took me a while to work that out - thought you'd got the wrong thread for a minute! Maybe I will fit a baked bean can rear muffler then I might be able to duplicate the noise!! Don't think you will hear it in Hervey bay though! | |

Yeah more power! How? Bigger exhaust? Chip? What is the cheapest first mod recommended for our 1KZTE?

Be a good can to do that, I didn't mention that it was in the early 70's that I used to go through. load chemical out of Botany for Bris and the shortest route was the best

You're right - they're cheaper than spurious motor factor ones! £35 each

Ok, boost controller hay? Looks simple enough to install on a Prado, bloody pain to do on the SC! From what i've read on other forums this is a good mod for our 1KZ motor, along with a new dump pipe off the turbo and a 3' exhaust and then topped off with a chip. VOZZA, have you installed a boost gauge? And was it easy or pain in ass! Will you install a EGT sensor along with your boost gauge? Im keen to hear how it goes, will you get it tested it on a dyno?

| Only gonna run 5 extra pound so i wont worry bout EGT gauge for now. Can't find a dump pipe anywhere and gettin one made up is big $$$. See how it goes for now and look into to rest later. Got my boost gauge on the column. P.S sorry for hijacking your thread WERX. Start my own on Monday....Promise. | |

| I got them custom made. A friend runs the local motor spares shop and used to race, so he knows pleny of people in the motorsport business. They took an original spring from the vehicle and took measurements, size, weight, spring rebound etc. They then made these custom springs with the same number of coils and the same gauge metal. They should behave in the same way, I had them slightly upgraded so they will take a bit more weight, but won;t ruin the ride
