had mind dropped 2", looks good and no difference to ride, plus i can get under 1.85m height restrictions now :-)

Heasman Steering Princes Highway Sydenham, they were recommended. Turn down front torsion bars, realign fron steering and new lower springs in back. Only going down an inch due to lots of speed bumps in my area.

I have a set of custom built rear springs, lower about 40mm. Never used. Cost me £100, happy to let them go if anyone wants to make me an offer....

Lowering the front will mean the wishbones will bottom out on the bumpstops earlier and cause the van to pitch

Depends how low you go. Yes I had that problem in my old Kombi but it had a drastic lowering job!

About 50mm is the max, when i had the 40mm on mine it was close, was ok in normal driving, but you noticed on serious bumbs. I'm down about 25 / 30mm at the moment and the ride is as good as it was at full height

Thanks entwistlea, I was getting worried for a minute! Did you change the front shocks?

I fitted new shocks before i lowered it, so they are standard. They seem to work fine at the height i'm running, no adverse handling or ride.

Does anyone know if front shocks from any other Toyota model fit? Especially UK spec vehicles

I couldn;t find any when i looked, but standard shocks from Toyota aren;t expensive. The rear are also unique to the SC, so standard Hiace don;t fit !!!

Taking longer than I thought, I may be vanless over the weekend.

Back at last, looks great, drives great, just subtle enough for me to notice. Been dropped an inch and a half, guys reckon that is max before changing rear shocks. It does tighten up the whole van, handling steering etc.

Looks good, same colour combo as mine. Think its a little lower than mine, but may be that you have bigger rims. Liking the look !!

Yeah looks sic. Must go around corners on rails! Hay Rex glad you got rid of those sun damaged front corner lights. Oh and what the? noticed yours doesn't have moon roofs? Thought all SC had them?

Not all, think I got the poor mans version! must try the corner of the Cahill Expressway onto the Harbour Bridge, that's the real test - without rolling it!
