Hi , I pulled my rear seat out the other day and replaced it with a sliding draw , tool box.
As far as I can tell the running mechanism is part of the track and cant be seperated.
It would be to easy if toyota designed it so you could slide the rear seat out of the tracks when you dont want it. But what you end up with are 2 big chanels in the floor because you have to take out the whole lot, good one toyota !!!

I dont know what you have there but a couple of pics would be handy

Will get some pics tomorrow. Yeah it would be good if the seats just folded up to the side.
Cheers

gday paul, glad to see you figured it out ok.
I cant give you a pic because mine is all pulled ap
art and stashed away.
Cables just hook over the lever thingy and the whit nylon part clips into the slot , you have to give it 1/2 a turn and slide it in and that should be it.

I'm sure I saw a pic of the rear seat arrangement on this forum some where
it was 33 C here today and I've been running around fixing car air con's all day. Rather be down the beach.

Cheers FLETCH

Yeah the back seats are staying in al the time. I'll just pack stuff in front and on top of them. With them pushed forward, there's still plenty of room in the back. I only have 2 Kids so the rear are just used for guest.
