Tree Sap Removal

Hi, Have a 1994 HiAce Super Custom Limited with a bit of tree sap in a few places. With other cars I have used alcohol wipes, which work fine. Just want to be sure that would not harm the paint or any clear coat that might be on the van as the paint job is still perfect. Any suggestions on process or other products would be appreciated. Located in Portland, Oregon. Thanks in advance. Dan
