VSV's vacuum hoses on the back of the IC pipe/throttle body

Hello,

I would like to know how these hoses are supposed to be connected. The solenoid valve on the left looks like it's supposed to be bolted onto the throttle body but the hoses are very short.

The solenoid with the brown electrical connector is piped to a t-piece (you can just make it out in the picture) in the same hose... so it is in effect always open.

Does anyone know what these solenoids do and how they are supposed to be piped... if anyone has a picture of that area I would be eternally grateful!

Where are you looking? Rear Left side of engine bay?
I think it might be a 3L Engine?

It's the 3.0L.

The photo is taken looking down over the back of the engine i.e. the gearbox end.

Ahh yes thanks I see the brown VSV should be angled which should make the hoses sit properly.

I see you have cruise control too... i'm jelous!
