| hi All, we've recently bought a camper LH113 base, but having great difficulty sourcing a tow bar for it, does anyone have any experience of getting one fitted? Even going down a custom build has proven a dead end. Thanks in advance | |

| We're trying to source a tow bar at the moment for our 1994 LH113 van. A motorhome specialist told us it's the same one as the HiLux of the same year.
We'll let you know how we get on.
Cheers,
Rob

| We managed to get one from http://www.towbars-uk.co.uk
The part description is "TOYOTA LCV HI-ACE VAN 2WD / 4WD (Inc Import, Exc H100, H107) 1990 - 1995", pretty easy to find through their website.
I fitted it myself - 6 bolts into the existing threaded holes on the chassis. You have to remove and replace the fuel pipe shroud and refit it with a longer bolt, but it all comes in the kit, along with instructions.
Wiring the electrics was OK - I connected it all into the back of the r/h lamp cluster and just ran a single wire across from the l/h indicator.
All in all, a very easy DIY job.
Hope this helps anyone else looking.
Cheers,
Rob | |

| Please note that there may not allways be the captive nuts in the chassis. You may not even have the holes although there will be a dimple to mark the spot. | |

| I have looked for a towbar for my LWB 94 camper in the past. I have an LH129 I believe. Been to a couple of towbar places and they didn't offer me any solutions. Found another dealer in Bristol and had it all booked in for about £225, but then they phoned, said they had ordered wrong part (mine being a 94 and they had a part for a 95 which I am not convinced by) and told me they would have to get one custom made for another £100+. I told them to forget it. Didn't bother any more after that.
So lots of different variants apparently! | |

| Hi, Hmm, yeah... Note that an LH129 is a super-long, not just a long... They came in three sizes: 2330mm, 2590mm and 2890mm.
I'd be surprised if there was much difference between a 94 & a 95 2.8, though....
Cheers, W. | |
