Tightening rear door window wiper....

Hi team,

anything i need to be aware off while trying to tighten the wiper thats fixed to the rear door? is there a need to get on the inside of the rear door ie: pull off the rear door skin?

If the spindle is loose I think the nut on the out side can be tweaked. If you need to get at the motor mounting bolts then yes the interior door card/trim needs to be removed.

found out what the problem was. the larger nut that holds the assembly on to the rear door had thread over time making it pretty loose. i couldnt find an exact replacement at the wreckers but i manage a temporary fix by pulling a part off the rear wiper assembly from a toyota estima. the wiper only goes about a half wipe on the back window but will do till i source a hiace part. :-)
