| G'day guys,
I had my rear springs reset lower and they have lost all of the rate in them. Put people in the back and it's dragging on the wheels. Looking for a set of stock springs?
Any help/ideas. bjp13@hotmail.com
I tried Toyota and they can get new ones from Japan for $450 but couldn't find any other cars with the same springs.

| Dave do you know what ford model they were out of?
I think the only option is to take them out and to somewhere like pedders to measure.
I'm wondering though how that would compare to just going to a spring works and getting some custom made.
This whole process has been the biggest @#$# around.
I'm in Brisbane. | |

| Cheers Dave. I will let you know how I get on later in the week. I have an RDO tomorrow so I will take them out and drop them down to pedders.

| I must be missing something here. Ours has trailing arms not springs like the ordinary Ace. @Dave are they the tems shockies or just plain ones. | |

| I have a 1996 4wd model. Model KZH106. It has coils in the back. I went down to the spring works near my house and they won't do it. I rang King Springs, and they require about 20 measurements and for me to then remove the springs and send the springs to them to make a custom set or match them to some other set. what a @#$# around. I find it hard to believe that no one has ever had a set done before! | |

| Well I can confirm 2wd springs don't fit 4wd. Pedders found springs to match and they were a heavy duty commodore wagon spring. In my searches I also found Cobra Springs in New Zealand who do them as a catalogue product. They are stocked by Repco in NZ who were happy to ship to Australia. Appeciate the help. I will post pics when I pick it up tomorrow | |

Hi there Bjp.. did you end up getting rear springs for your 90's SC?? Did you go with the commadire wagon springs? Do to have the specs from pedders?? I have some additions /drawers in the rear so need to upgrade for heavy duty springs..

| Last time this question came up I calculated that Toyota RAV4 rear springs were very similar to the rear 2WD coil springs on the Hiace.
The main point about this revelation was that 2nd hand (and even new) Rav4 springs are cheap and you can also get lowered ones etc if they weren't quite right.
I've not tried them but that's what I'd be looking at.
