You can change the 100v element to a 220/240v quite easily.

How do I do that? Any help would be appreciated. Even better still, can I add a gas flue and burner to it? That would solve all of my problems for sure

I had mine changed by the local Caravan Accessory shop - £20. Took the fridge in the morning, collected at noon. My fridge is 3 way - fitted with 12volt plus gas. Japanese use 110v so my leisure battery charger needed changing also.
