Japanese Mains wiring

I have just taken the fridge out to rewire it due to someone cutting the wires while it was enroute from Japan. It is wired with Green, obviously earth, White and Black. Logic tells me black is earth however, the black wire goes via the compressor, which make me think perhaps it is not.
Can you help please?

Hi, might not really help you but my hiace camper which I imported was 100v and the whole thing needed rewiring. I got a caravan sparkie to do mine as I wanted to be sure it was safe. I'd recommend getting someone who knows whats what as it seems that the japs don't even earth the hookup socket!
