| I saw a few before I bought my camper but none had the conversion I was after...does any one own one and if so what kind of MPG do they get.... is it significantly better than an auto...?... | |

| yeah I'd reckon at least 90% are auto but manuals are definitely out there (there's 2 campers on ebay just now) but I'm surprised no one on the forum has one... | |

| That would mean I'm getting 23mpg? ouch! Circa 350 miles per tank - best I've seen is about 385... I was happier before working it out.
I am on the turbo a lot though and tend to cruise motorways in 5th at 3-3.5k rpm (about 70-75 mph so that will be killing the mpg.
Might think about fitting a boost gauge to help me stay off the tubby more often.
Must be running a bit rich too, surely I should be getting 40ish?
What are you guys getting ??
Still this is better than double what I was getting from the Rx7 - only car I've ever been able to actually see the fuel needle move on.

| I did 550ish km's on 70 litres. 550kms = 341 miles.
7.85 kms per litre.
3.0D turbo, auto. | |

| well its seriously better than my 2.8 non turbo but there's no way my tank holds 70 ltrs unless its still holding around 10-15ltrs when the gauge says empty,,,I reckon on around 300mls to a tank .... | |

| There is still about 10 left when the gauge flash's empty. Tho I wouldn't recomend going down that far unless you want to keep buying filters. We've had a few Hi Aces(not SC's tho) and all had 70 ltr tanks from memory | |

| I feel slightly better from hearing this is about average... Also, being fair the 385 was on fantastic motorway roads in France, cruising at 70 the whole time and I think only stopping once.
I have run it with the fuel light on for 14 miles once. Coasting as much as possible and looking for a petrol station in France!
wouldn't recommend it though!

| Toyota err on the side of not breaking down, the fuel guage shows empty the light comes on but there is still 10-15 litres in there. The senders are prone to fail/misread so I allways go by the trip meter. 500KMs and time to refill.
Turbo will help MPG as there is enough air to burn the fuel, as all it does is force more air into the engine, fuel comes from your right foot. Cruise at 60 and see what you get.
I must admit that mine just wants to go faster once you hit 50. In my early days of ownership and converting to KPH from MPH I hit 130KMs with no problem and loads of throttle left. Quick mental maths and realised 113KMs was the legal speed limit, must have frightened some Merc and BMW drivers when I was in their lane.

| Yep there is plenty grunt in the engine. Though I tend to not hold above 80mph for long as it's getting close to the redline and stresses the engine to keep running at that speed for time. | |

| I have a manual Cruising Cabin 2.8 litre 3L engine also LH119 and with pop top and factory conversion
we drove to south of france and I was getting about 400km to a full tank. But that was driving flat out. Noisy at 60 mph and a bit more bearable at 70mph.
I reckon if you could drive at 50mph probably would get 450km to a full tank.

| i get about 23mpg on average. but these things have the approximate aerodynamics of a wardrobe, so i get much better mileage staying below 50mph (unless stuck in traffic of course ) | |
