A meet up has been mentioned.. The problem is trying to find somewhere suitable that is fairly central..
Any suggestions welcome

What kind of facilities do you think we would need and how many pitches? I assume a pub and decent shower block might be a good idea.

When you say central - would we be getting people from all over UK?

Let me know and I will gladly give it some thought and make some suggestions.

Anthony

We have put on a couple of bike rallies at the Stoke Prior sports and social club , which is not far from junction 5 of the M5 nr Bromsgrove/Droitwitch..
They have Ladies and Gents shower facilities and a good club house with social club prices at the bar...
not far from other pubs and supermarkets etc.....
they are very helpful people, as we only gave them a weeks notice for our last rally due to a problem at our arranged venue...they put on a BBQ at virtually cost
not sure of the contact name but could find out..
we had over 300 people at our rally and barely took up a third of the site....
They put car rallies and the like on there all the time.. Smile

Some of the Japanese theme shows might be worth a try next year. JAE(Jap auto extravaganza) and JAPS. I've only heard of these and seen pictures because I'm in the Toyota Enthusiasts Club with my 1977 Celica RA28. They are held at places like Knebworth and Billing. Like I say, no personal knowledge, but might be worth looking at for 2009. If you are a Hiace fan, chances are you have a soft spot for Jap classics and other stuff like Surf, Supra, Skyline, etc. I've seen pictures of classic Hiace campers too.

I think if it was fairly central (Oxford - Birmingham) we could tempt more people to visit.
I have a mail from the people who organise JAE to say there is a "Modified Live" show at Snetterton on 12th October.

with..

Open paddock and pit lane for everyone!
Project GTSt and Fuujin go head to head in a drag racing demo down the long back straight
Drift Passenger Rides
Drift demos from the driftkings of the EDC
Alfa Romeo Race Series championship
Mulitple Parade Laps (clubs to be confirmed)
Massive Show n Shine competition
and, most importantly of all - dedicated club pitches.

Any good ? I dont want to show up on my own!

Thanks for all the replies so far, and sorry if you are outside of the U.K.( i was to lazy to go through the list and look for U.K. peeps.

If however you want to come to Brean Or Weston Super Mare thats dead local for me Smile

Lets keep this post going..its probably not going to happen this year but lets start with sites etc.

I have emailed a camp site in Oxford to see if they would take us.
(oxford being "fairly" central.

Looks a nice site with reasonable charges as well. They should welcome us after all, we are a crowd of 'nice' enthusiasts arn't we. With only 89 pitches booking well in advance would be essential. Count us in (Jean, myself and the Gray Warrior), as long as it is not between 30th April and 4th June as we are away at our place in Turkey.

I'll be organising one at Brean for the estima owners club, once it is firmed up I'll let you know.
There are many Estima organised camping weekends throughout the year, most welcome all makes.
I've been a member of the Estima club for over 3 years, never had one, don't want one, just sort of evolved from the Townace club.

Yes, that is the left over look up table from the old Townace site.

Many are forum users of the Estima site, as are a load of Bongo owners.

When I get a minute I post some links for the weekends that are planned so far.

The meeting takes place on the 25th and 26th July at Billing.(Northamptonshire).

If you would be interested please let me know so I can make further enquiries

Been to one and it is really all carbon fibre and 1000 watt noise. Sorry I'm getting old.

Also been to Billing and it is a naff campsite and very expensive even for a day visit.
