Hello Fred.

Cool!

I think what you have there is a Regius, Grand or Granvia Hiace. See the Wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_HiAce

And scroll down a bit.

To get the best model match I’d make a note of all the codes on the VIN plate and head to:

https://toyota.epc-data.com/regius_ace/lh119v/114894/

Well this will take you to the page for my van. Don't get confused with the 'Regius' name on that page. It's just Toyota playing games. Back up through the site until you can start entering the codes for your exact van and this will be as near as you’ll get.

You might need to search through the Japanese, European or USA areas too.

There are (or should be) additional codes on the VIN plate; additional things like paint, trim and gearing etc. There are sites all over the interweb to help decode these.

The engine number is usually stamped on the LH side at the timing end, but it can be hard to see. Just look for a ground flat strip and use oblique lighting, possibly a bit of cleaning first.

I've found the epc-data and associated amayama sites really useful.

Cheers!
