Part for YKK awning - top of leg

My 1991 Hiace came with a YKK wind out awning - original I guess. THe plastic or rubber connector that joins the top of the legs to the awning is missing on one side. Any ideas for getting a replacement? I have never used the awning and could probably rig something up with cable ties etc but it's annoying when something isn't working.

I wondered whether a 3D printer would be able to make something like this. It's about 6" long if I remember correctly.

Here are a couple of pictures of mine.  I'm sure it is the same.  I have done a ton of searching for the manufacturer which is Yoshida but that did not help me finding parts.  Both end caps on mine are broken.  I am thinking of molding new ones from fiberglass if I feel like getting creative.

Are you missing the whole assembly or just one part?

It's the two grey parts on the top of one of the legs - the end cap that fits to the metal leg and the metal wrivel thing and the piece on top of that.
