Subject: Removing the rear bench seat and runners: A Howto Tue Nov 27, 2018 3:46 pm
This has been covered a few times but not the entire process so I'll add it here.
1. Buy a set of nylon trim tools and trim pliers anyway, they are hugely useful. 2. Get rid of the trim around the seat legs 3. Unhook the adjuster cables that unlock the seat in the rails 4. Unbolt the 14mm bolts and lift the seat up and turn it longwise (2 people) to remove it. 5. Undo the trim caps at the end (push cap sideways off the rail to undo 6. Undo trim cap screw a bit to release trim, only one side needs to come off 7. Undo 14mm bolts at each end. 8. There are now 5 more bolts to undo, run your finger along the carpet next to the runner until you feel a bolt underneath. Locally pull the carpet back and undo the bolts. 9. Lift out the runners.
