Hi Guys,

Bit of advice needed. I'm really keen to take the camper over to France, Switzerland and Italy, taking in some of the lovely mountain scenery over there. Only problem is, I'm unsure as to whether the brakes will take such a pounding - coming down a couple of hills in Cheddar Gorge a few months back, there was a distinct smell from them after some fairly severe hills. I would expect the Alps to be a tad worse!!

I was wondering about the possibility of shifting the auto stick into "1" or "2" - wouild this offer some engine braking?

Hope you can help O mighty experts!! :-)

Marc, Alison and Bruce the Bus.

Taking the bus out of OD helps a bit with engine braking, but 1 in 4s would still be quite interesting........ Shocked
