| Hey all - I found this 1981 Hiace in a private salvage yard. Didn't think there were too many here so I snatched it up. Has a lot of body issues but shouldn't be too complicated to sort. It has the 2.2L "L" diesel and a 4-speed. If anyone has any resources for turn signal lenses, a rear bumper and some ideas on replacement wheels, I would welcome the advice! Thanks, Jeff | |

| Sometimes I see very little parts coming by when somebody is selling old Toyota dealership stock. Ill keep an eye out. What do you need?
Regarding I think you should be able to find parts, even order at the dealership if you know the part numbers

Regarding I think you should be able to find parts, even order at the dealership if you know the part numbers Thank you so much for the offer. Right now, I need some small items and one big item: front turn signal lenses and rear turn signal lenses; a driver's side-view mirror; and the big item, a rear bumper. The engine was sold in US pickups from 1980-1983, so I am not too worried about that...but the trim pieces and cosmetic bits will be harder to track down. Jeff

| Yeah thats right. Also for transmission and rear diff will be okay to find. But the cosmetics are harder to find. Are the current ones broken or water in them? They look okay on the pictures
And you also need a front bumper?

Holy cow - I didn't think there would be anyone offering any parts for this vehicle! I'd like to upgrade to H4s at some point, so this is good info to have. Thank you. I do have a front bumper en route from Asia, supposedly, but it hasn't shown up yet. Still hunting for a rear. Now I just need to find a similar resource for all the other bits!

Nope, it is LHD. It was a South American market vehicle. The owner prior to the one I bought it from was a US military member who bought it new in Panama! Still have all of the sales brochures in Spanish!

| So what is the full (12 digit) model code of this thing? Should be found on the grey or black VIN plate that also shows your chassis number?
You can use it in the parts system (like toyodiy.com or other) to find the Toyota part numbers, and then search the internet for parts.
The rear lights for example are pretty simple. There is chance it is used on multiple models. And you can find it on ebay.

| Well, at least here is a left taillight, no right one yet http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Feu-ARG-TOYOTA-81560-29845-Hiace-/182162755658?hash=item2a69bf104a m2T2EC_yMcVbpcwY5U1HmpQ Using the model code you can verify everything is correct. It seems the taillights are specific to the LH20, LH30, RH20 and RH30 models. I thought they would be shared on more cars, the look so simple like the old FJ40 landcruiser. | |

They also have the two logos for the front. Oh man. Awesome! Can you tell if this vendor will ship to the US? Also - any chance you could send the second link as a live URL instead of a PDF? It won't show up on my end and I haven't found it yet through searching. Thank you so much!

| Sorry; it was a browser issue on my end.
Have you ever used this site before? I cannot figure out shipping. It seems like there is a shipping charge (indicating they would ship) but they want me to check a box for "Takeout in Nijkerkerveen" which I can only assume to mean they want for me to pick up the parts.
What do you think? I am using Google Translate to figure out what it wants me to do so something may be being lost in translation!

| I asked, and they don't ship to the US. Only locally. Other than that it is good company, what I know from other people who used it. | |

Thanks! I'm a fan of your van as well. This is a slow-moving project but I hope to have it running/driving reliably with some of the cosmetics addressed by the summer. Just had to fork over a bunch of $$ for an injector pump rebuild. Hopefully, that allows it to accelerate through the gears instead of just idling!
