1998 Super Custom Hiace Auto for Sale

Hi All

My 2L-T Hiace turbo diesel 2.4Ltr engine has carked it.

As the rest of the vehicle is fine I have several options.
Sell it as is.
Replace or rebuild the engine.
Replace the engine with another type of Toyota engine.

There is a lot of info on the web about engine repairs and rebuilds but I cant find anyone in OZ who has a working order engine the same as mine. I read of an American guy who claimed to have substituted a 3L diesel engine to do the job.
Does anyone in Australia know if this is not only feasible but also worth the expense of going to if it is?

Failing that, is there any member out there who  would care to make me an offer for my vehicle as it is?

I suppose it depends on what needs doing to your engine as to what you do with it ..I have just had the head replaced on mine ..1995 3lt turbo diesel at a cost of $3600..I don't have any idea as to how much a full replacement motor or repair would be ..possibly a mob called BIP toyota in melbourne could help ..
