| Subject: importing a Super Custom From Japan into Australia...advice? Wed Mar 27, 2013 10:17 am | |
| Hi, I am considering looking into buying one of the Super Customs from an exporter in Japan, to bring into Australia, a 1995 model.
How complicated is this? Does anyone have any advice about how to go about it? Have any of you done this?
Please advise,
Thanks, David | |

| Wouldn't you be better off buying one here as I think it could end up being a major hassle? Regards Rex | |

| In the UK there are agents who for 10% of the sale price sort all the paper work out arrange shipping etc. Some of the Japanese sites also offer this but only as far as the import dock. This the complicated bit in the UK as it has to get registered and test fit for the road which involves a few small jobs to make it legal for use. Importers do all this and then add there profit margin on top. | |

| I purchased mine in Melbourne some years ago from a dealer who specialised in importing, modifying to ADR regulations, and supplying the RWC ready for registering. Found a few dealers at the time just by browsing the net. Ended up with a '89 SC Limited with 115k's on the clock - quite happy with it, but havn't bothered with the coffee maker or DVD screen in the roof up till now. Hope this helps, Johnow | |
