We must be a load of nutters - I have a townace and a hiace, plus..... Triumph and Bultaco classic race bikes ( 1961 & 1962 )! Want a road bike, but I haven't got the room! Cheers, Ken

me and the misses do alot of rallys all though the year,plus touring.i have a 53 kawa zrx 1200s,96 yam vmax 1200 , 77 susy gs750 chop.the misses has 52 triumph bonnie and 00 susy gsf 600 bandit we also own a 1300 vw trike ,so the camper is just for something different but its got a tow bar so bike trailor mabe next

F**k me mate .. where'd you find room for all that... I'm strugglin for space with just my 2 bikes and classic vespa...
I do the occational rally but I mostly focus on gps and wsb or bsb.... though I reckon living so close our paths must've crossed at some point.... do you frequent the carbeth in the summer months...?

yes were up the carbeth on occations after a day in the saddle or out a run with our club mutineers mcc,my misses used to own one of the huts behind the pub,

cant beat the carbeth on a nice summers day....some of my mates are in the mercury but I lost interest in clubs when I gave up scooters and got in to bikes (a very long time ago )...... nice looking van where did you buy it from .... we'll need to hook up at some point mate... talk bikes and campers...

brought it from rodgersons of kirkcudbright after months of looking internet ebay,papers,mags etc think i got a good one, gas heating ,hot pumped water,zig charging unit,we had to tidy inside a bit , meet up no problem,anytime

I used to have a cz125.. can i be in your gang please.

(it did have a combined gear selector / kickstart that was clever)

You have to park over a hot spring... somewhere in Iceland might be good!

its a carver lpg water heater,on board water tank plus pump.turn the tap good to go

Is it like the carver heater on a caravan (gas) or electric this heater thingy

a bit of further investigation required me thinks.... I could sure do with this as it'd save all the messing about with kettles...

townies and a few hiaces meet sometime in March I think for a weekend
a toyota rally at Warren Farm in Brean Somerset
I 've been to one me and the missus dossed in the hiace for the weekend and was fine but not recommended for a long sleep over though

I did the last Estima club one at Brean (for a couple of hours and the beach pics) but I thought about being a bit more central / easier to get to. Still open for any good sites / places which may have interest.

JAE's new permanent home for 2008 and beyond will be at Mersea Island which just outside Colchester.

The show venue is over 60 acres and has a huge amount of potential for us, already catering for club and enthusiast shows all year round and with some amazing facilities on site - we're amazed we managed to miss it previously as its perfect for JAE! I will post up some pictures tomorrow of things to expect at the new location but, for now, let me just share with you SOME what we have to offer at JAE's new home:

Loads of parking on a totally secure site

Full Bar and off- sales

Japanese themed bar and special hot and cold SAKE bar

Large function room with permanent DJ facilities and stage

Outdoor hard standing marquee for live bands

Indoor trade area as well as outdoor pitches

Speedboat with inflatable banana ride experiences from the Beach

Yes, you read right - a beach!! - which is part of the site

Log cabins for families and groups with electric and heating as well as the vast camping areas as usual

Various planned activities such as inter-club Its-a-Knockout competitions ( inc 5 a side football ), some themed in Japanese endurance- Takeshi's Castle style!!

Full food village as well as a huge canteen which will be providing not only dinner for those who grow tired of junk food but also each morning the canteen will provide full English breakfasts, served up in true dinner-lady style - Previously an important detail which was missing from JAE for the morning after a night socialising

….. but best of all, the venue is really quiet and in the middle of nowhere so we can make as much noise as we like and go on for as long as we like. But if you’re worried about too much noise we have an area completely set aside as a quiet camping for those who may have families etc as the site is designed to cater for all, making it even more family friendly in certain parts of the site to ensure everyone has a great time.

Looks like the dates are 29-31 August. I am going to enquire more and post back
