Hi guys. I'm Si from the UK. I've got hold of a '95 2.8d 3L Reimo converted Hiace. Comes equipped with selectable 4wd, pop top, side wind out awning, night heater etc etc. Have done plenty of work on it since getting it getting her ship shape, a couple more things that I'll be asking advice in other areas of the forum on about. Anyway, the plan is to get out and about and do plenty of camping with the wife and my 2 year old daughter, a few festivals, a bit of wild camping and some weekends away surfing.

very nice. Hope you have lots of enjoyment from it!

Ours is a 2.8 3L as well but slightly older and its mostly been very reliable. Only glitches been the injector unit and some stuff with a pulley bearing.

FYI If you haven’t used an awning before make sure you wind it in at night or when away from it. Ours broke in some wind and rain. : (

Cheers for the awning warning, I'll keep an eye on that. What have you done for parts supply with yours when you've had your problems, and where do you go for your service bits?

Mini update guys. Had the interior out over the weekend to get the carpet replaced as the original one was proper manky Sad Couldn't find anything in blue that I liked so went for a dark grey to compliment the side trims, I think it looks rather fetching :)Also had a new cambelt/tensioner/water pump/thermostat and coolant change last month. This weekend I'm going to refurb the wheels and have the rear drums skimmed as one is slightly out of round.

A few more bits done today. All 4 wheels refurbed to get rid of all the crusty paint and lacquer.

Also fixed the sliding door lock as it didn't lock/unlock, and raised the front suspension up slightly on the torsion bars.
