Hi folks, I'm new... love the van but have a problem. F0407837-D718-4647-B9B9-E7F5172AF0C0-23778-000029617D4C6DF7

Hi all. I'm new to HiAce ownership. I picked her up a couple of weeks ago and after a few little touches of personalisation, headed straight down to Cornwall for a couple days of surfing.

I absolutely love the van. Razz

Unfortunately, since I returned from Cornwall, the van has developed an intermittent problem causing not to start. The engine turns over but the glow plugs and the fuel pump are not doing their thing. I'm not even getting a glow light. No

The previous owner has been helpful saying that he had experienced this before but thought it had been fixed by the removal of an old immobiliser. I'm thinking that it's either the ECU, the fuel stop solenoid or the old immobiliser/alarm which I can still see hiding under the dash.

I am trying to find a pin-out diagram for the ECU (89661-26170) so that I can test it but I've not had any luck yet.

I'd be interested to hear what you guys think. Any help would be much appreciated.

Same happened to me, no obvious sign on the circuit board, sent it off to ecu specialists who could not find anything. Fitted a friends one and starts straight off, mine back in and no go.
I was unable to find a replacement, I needed a working vehicle so sold it.
You have regrets in your life and that was one of mine.
