My Ace of Hearts Empty
PostSubject: My Ace of Hearts   My Ace of Hearts Icon_minitimeMon Jul 16, 2012 4:08 am

Hi all,

I have finally been able to put up some photos of my SC van in the great Australian outdoors! cheers

The first link shows my van on it's first camping trip. We went on a Subaru 4WD Club of SA trip (of which I have been a member for 20 years) to a property at Peake, in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia. The pics show my van in action in the Subikana, competing in an event called the Cloverleaf.

The second link shows a photo of the campsitse on our first 2 trips with the Hiace.

Cheers,

Werner

Hi Werner,

Nice photos. Yeah these are great vehicles for getting out and about.

For my next adventure I'm looking to set up an ARB awning mounted off the side of the roof rack.

Should work pretty well. I'll let you know how it works out.

cheers Greg.

I'm actually quite a sedate driver and just wanted to see what the old girl could do and yes, it was fun. Very Happy Wasn't much fun though, trying to remove the 5.1kg of sand which I carted home underneath.... Mad

I hadn't participated in the hill climb event earlier as there was too much closed in vegetation at the top of the hill. I was itching for a drive, so I figured the cloverleaf event was reasonably safe where I couldn't do much damage.

Afterall, I bought the van mainly for use as a camper Very Happy
