| Evening folks, have just acquired a 2.4 diesel Hiace, it's a 99 model and the temp gauge jumps straight to max when you switch the ignition on regardless of whether the engine is warm or not. I've purchased and fitted a new engine temp sender unit but it still behaves the same but the engine runs fine and does not overheat. I'd be grateful of any any advice on what might be wrong. Many thanks. Pete. | |

| Thanks for the replies, I'll check the connections on the back of the dash dials, it's not a digital dash but thanks anyway. Pete. | |
