| Hi, my tbelt light has come on. Found out it is because it has just done the magic 100,000km I also lost a wiper blade on the motorway, (was on my way to catch ferry, so nice man in Halfords taped a wiper blade on for me, as he said it had sheared off, eroded) Anyhow it works fine but I wanted to get it fixed properly and put a new wipers on plus get the tbelt sorted. So off I went to Toyota. Here is the bill, quote as I haven't had it done yet.
wiper blade, 9.50 each wiper arm, 45.76 wiper arm, 39.87 timing belt 31.04
£336.53 for labour fitting wipers and belt!!!!! I thought that was mad steep. | |

| Are you talking about the bit that sticks out of the body work that needs replacing? If so this a aprtial dash out to get access to it job. Not sure about the T Belt, but I think a fair bit of engine strip down is required to get at it. On the 3.0 it can all be done through the engine hatch. | |

| Sounds about right price wise. I had my belt done by a mate who runs a garage and it was a good few hours work....
As Clive said, depends on what part of the wiper has broken, you can get blades fitted - yes the fitments are not normal clip on, but my local motor factor had the kit...
Wiper blades - about £16 quid for 2 Fitting kit about £8 Seeing out a clear windscreen - priceless

| You should be able to get a good local garage to do it for arond the £200 mark.Just ask them to do the wipers while its there.Pays well to use a good diesel mechanic but it should be an easy job for any mechanic. As entwistlea said it is a time consuming job just removing the guards and stuff out of the way aswell as working in the tightest of areas. | |

| I would assume that all the radiators must come out so you will probably be up for a aircon recharge.. Not looking forward to it myself.. | |

| if its just the small bracket that attaches the blade to the wiper arm via 2small screws ..then this bracket comes as part of the kit when you buy original fitment toyata blades .... like mentioned before less than a tenner each.....how do I know this.... mine rotted through and snapped.... | |
