Fuel efficiency improvement

I had about 390km from a 60l tank with full time 4wd around town.

So I shut the rear roof window (always had it open).
Got a caliper kit for front brakes (wheels were quite hot without breaking. )
Pumped tyres up to 44psi
New air filter
And drove to just over 2000rpm

Could not be bothered to do one at a time, sorry.

I took it on the highway and got 510km

Is this OK, anyone with a 4wd full time? thx.

I though mine got worse when i got another fuel pump and another computer. Not sure.

Is it really worth checking map sensor to improve fuel and if so what do you do and how do you know it is no good.

I have the 1KZ-TE with full time 4WD and automatic transmission in our 1998 KZH138. We are hauling around an old school camper build out from Japan and weigh in around 2,600kgs with our gear and kids inside.

We have calculated an average 12.5l/100kms combined town and highway, so it sounds like you are around that range. I had a 'modern' 2009 Land Rover for a few years back when it was new and the consumption was way higher than my old hiace camper.
